August brings us another set of Croydon Eats Out events as well as the return of the Croydon Food & Music Festival, so here's the monthly round-up of what we've got planned...
The first event is to Tokia Square on Monday 4th August (7pm, free). Tokia Square is a food hall on the first floor of the Grants entertainment complex with a number of brands offering food from all over Asia: China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, India and more are represented. With such a wide range to choose from, it's well worth a return trip!

Following that is brunch at Le Bon Café on Saturday 9th August (11am, £2). This pleasant restaurant and café in the South End restaurant quarter serves Mediterranean and Moroccan cuisine as well as British dishes for a tasty breakfast to kick off the weekend.

The same afternoon is a visit to Riff Raffs for drinks on Saturday 9th August (2pm, free). This friendly bar on George Street is a great place to meet and mingle with a range of alcoholic, non-alcoholic and hot beverages. Downstairs even hosts a vinyl record and vintage clothing shop!

After that is our regular trip to The Green Dragon on Tuesday 12th August (7pm, free). This pub has an excellent selection of beers, ales and ciders plus very tasty pub grub to tuck into. This is a more informal gathering so a great opportunity for newcomers to find out what the group's all about as well as a chance for long-term regulars to catch up.

An event in a similar vein is the monthly Drinks and Nibbles on Thursday 21st August (7pm, free). This provides an opportunity to try out more of Croydon's pubs and bars, and this month will be held at The Dog on Surrey Street where we're looking forwards to meeting up and checking out its new incarnation.

Our monthly Dinner Club will going for a curry at Tindli on Tuesday 26th August (7pm, £2). This restaurant from Chef Karnavar promises the purest flavours of India and has extremely good reviews.

At the very end of the month is the Croydon Food & Music Festival on Sunday 31st August (12pm, free). The road of the South End restaurant quarter gets taken over by stalls and stages for a day of food, drink and live music. We'll be there from around 12pm when it starts, as it can get rather busy and difficult to find each other once the event is in full swing. We hope to see you there!
