We hope you all had a very happy Christmas and will have an excellent 2026!
Our first event of the year is brunch club at Ayat Kitchen Lounge on Saturday 10th January (11am, £2). This is one of our favourite spots to get the day started in Croydon - their Mediterranean breakfast is highly recommended, and they do a great fry-up and American breakfast too.

That same afternoon we'll be heading over to the Surrey Cricketers for drinks (Saturday 10th January, 2pm, free). This friendly South Croydon pub will provide a cosy spot to while away the afternoon and socialise over a pint or two.

The following week is our regular trip to the Green Dragon on Tuesday 13th January for pub grub (7pm, free). This is an excellent pub right in Croydon's town centre with a superb drink selection and tasty food. It's a somewhat more informal event so a perfect opportunity to mingle and meet up with other members.

Next is a visit to Surrey Street Lounge on Thursday 22nd January (7pm, free). This is the latest incarnation of the pub at the top of South End and as well as being a great spot to stop for a drink it now serves Indian food which has been getting great reviews, so a perfect place to host this month's drink, nibble and chat.

January's dinner club will be held at Saffron Indian Restaurant on Tuesday 27th January (7pm, £2). We visited here about a year ago and the food was excellent so we're looking forwards to a return trip, and they have a five-item banquet deal for £17.95 from Sunday to Wednesday which we'll be able to take advantage of.

At the end of the month is drinks at Bishops Wine Bar around the back of the Whitgift Centre on Friday 30th January (5pm, free). This much-loved venue is quite a hidden gem and provides great hospitality and some of the best value drinks in Croydon, so a grand way to kick off the weekend at the end of the month.
